Job Description :

Brief Duties: Experience in performing Trailer PMs and most common trailer repairs.


Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts.


Must work safely and maintain a safe workplace environment.


Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.


Assignment: Temporary-To-Possible Hire which may end sooner or last longer than the estimated time.


 


Cell Phone Policy: No Cell Phones While Working!


Badge:  You must bring in your badge to work every day or you will not be allowed to stay and work.

         Tank Tops & Muscle Shirts (Sleeveless)

For the personal protection of affected temp employees at Protech Staffing Services, Inc. only steel-toe work boot will be allowed in the workplace. This policy is implemented, in order to help reduce the possibility of serious foot injuries and to decrease the potential for slip/fall accidents and puncture wounds to the foot.


 


All forklift operators, and employees who work around forklifts in the workplace, are required to wear a steel-toe boot designed specifically for the industrial work environment.

ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) 



Responsibilities Include but not limited to: 

• The Trailer Mechanic is responsible for timely repair and maintenance of heavy-duty fleet trailers to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Trailer Mechanic position requires high level of proficiency and working knowledge related to trailers, and dollies. 

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to trailers, and dollies.

• Perform services to anti-lock brakes, wheel end, welding, electrical, brakes, minor body work, and roll- up doors. 

• Must have valid Driver's License - Class C 

• Computer Savvy. 

• Must provide own hand tools and toolbox.

• Ability to move and position heavy objects. 

• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl to repair vehicles. 

• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions. 

• Other duties may be assigned.
